Beginner’s Handgun Class

Cost: $85

Class Duration: 4 hours (3 hours class time, 1 hour range time)

Supplies provided by Stoddard’s: Firearm (if needed), eye/ear protection (if needed), and targets. Supplies brought by students: Pen/pencil, paper, personal firearm, personal eye/ear protection

Maximum class size: 12
Minimum class size: 6

The purpose of the Beginner’s Handgun Class is to introduce a new shooter to handguns and show them how they may be used in a safe manner. This class will cover many topics including:

  • Types and actions of handguns
  • The anatomy of a bullet
  • Fundamentals of shooting
  • Cleaning and proper care
  • Proper range procedure

Approximately one hour of the class will be taking place on the range under the supervision of the instructor.
