Home Defense Course

Cost: $75

Class Duration: 3 hours (2 hours class time, 1 hour range time)

Supplies provided by Stoddard’s: Firearm (if needed), eye/ear protection (if needed), and targets. Supplies brought by students: Pen/pencil, paper, personal firearm, personal eye/ear protection

Maximum class size: 12
Minimum class size: 6

The purpose of the Home Defense Class is to teach the student how he or she may properly secure their home and how to properly react with their firearm in the case of an emergency. This class will cover many topics including:

  • Choosing the right firearm for your home
  • What to do in the event of a home invasion
  • Fundamentals of using a firearm in the home
  • Options for storage of firearms
  • Ammunition options
  • Tips for securing your home

Approximately one hour of the class will be taking place on the range under the supervision of the instructor.
