Our Core Values

Stoddard’s Training Academy was founded on the principle that everyday citizens deserve unpretentious practical education to make themselves assets and not liabilities. This includes training on topics other than firearms, such as mindset, medical practices, and non-firearm defensive tools.

We provide world-class training for shooters of all skill levels. We take firearm education seriously. From simple tutorials to advanced gun fighting, our goal is to create the best learning experience possible.

That is why we only select instructors who are as good at teaching and coaching as they are at shooting. Our instructors are always expanding on their own education and skill, earning certifications from groups such as Sig Sauer and the NRA, so that they can develop new courses and pass their knowledge on to you.

Whether you are a beginner or a well-seasoned shooter, we encourage you to progress to higher levels of proficiency. With seasonal and new courses added regularly, there is always an exciting new learning experience waiting for you at Stoddard’s Academy.

First Time Shooters Welcome!

Never shot a gun or been to a shooting range? No problem. Stoddard’s offers an interactive new-shooter orientation course for first-time shooters at the top of every hour in either Stoddard’s location.

For just $25 and in just 30 minutes, our instructors will provide you with the fundamentals of grip, trigger control, and sight necessary to safely enjoy using a firearm. No reservation is necessary to take this course. To get started, simply come to either location and let us know you’re new!

Situational Awareness & Action Class:

Situational Awareness is the ability to identify, process, and comprehend the critical elements of information about your surroundings. More simply, it’s knowing what is going on around you and is, therefore, the first step in planning, preparing and implementing a plan in the event of an emergency, catastrophe or critical incident. This class will not only help you develop your personal observation skills but also introduces you to actions you may need to employ after identifying a threat or critical situation.

Go Bag Class:

If disaster strikes will you be prepared? What will you decide to grab and GO!? This clinic covers different options that should be considered in your Go-Bag. Some items covered: knives, flashlights, ammo, first aid kits and more. Be prepared!

Home Defense Clinic:

*This is not a live fire class. Join our team to discuss different scenarios for defending yourself at home. Explore options to help safeguard you and yours. When it comes to shooting a firearm, you can never have too much experience.

That’s why Stoddard’s offers customizable private training packages for experienced shooters looking to hone and refine their skills.

Select a topic or type of firearm you would like to master, and our expert instructors will craft a unique, one-on-one lesson just for you.

Private Training Cost:

Midweek: $125 per hour
Weekend: $150 per hour
