While we always encourage our customers to experience our great customer service and to purchase from our two locations and from our online store, we do offer FFL transfers for firearms purchased elsewhere.
Here are our FFL transfer prices: $50 per firearm ($35 for Stoddard’s Members). NFA transfers are $100 per item at each location ($75 for Stoddard’s Members). For a transfer, we will need the following information sent to ffl@stoddardsguns.com
- The name and contact information for the store shipping the firearm (including a phone number and email or fax).
- Your phone number.
- Description of firearm that you are transferring.
As soon as we have this information, we can send our federal firearms license to the store shipping the firearm and we will contact you as soon as it arrives at our stores.
Please note that all transfer and special order items not picked up within 90 days shall be charged a storage fee after 90 days of $75 per month and for any transfer or special order item not picked up within 150 days, Stoddard’s shall have the right to add the transfer or special order item to inventory in exchange for a Stoddard’s gift card for the value of the transfer, in Stoddard’s reasonable judgment, or for the special order payments made, as the case may be, subject to reduction for any storage fees and also subject to Stoddard’s gift card policies.
If the transfer or special order is for an NFA item, the following applies in lieu of the above:
For all NFA items, including, without limitation, suppressors and short barrel rifles (1) any NFA item not picked up within 15 months shall be charged a storage fee after 15 months of $75 per month and (2) for any NFA item not picked up within 18 months, Stoddard’s shall have the right to add or return the NFA item to inventory in exchange for a Stoddard’s gift card in the amount of the value of the transfer, in Stoddard’s reasonable judgment, or special order payments made, as the case may be, less any storage fee and less a restocking fee of 25% of the special order total, and also subject to Stoddard’s gift card policies.
